Hello and welcome to the third edition of English toboggan. I must admit I didn’t realise I was supposed to write it until Friday so I hadn’t thought about it much. Anyway, on Monday Trenki was presented with his 40th birthday present from the whole firm, a large screen computer monitor, which sat in its box in the office for the whole week. Hopefully it’s found a home now. He supplied us with plates full of delicious doughnuts, a fine and healthy Monday morning breakfast: PHOTO. In the evening the celebration continued on Stodolni, but of course everybody was home and tucked up in bed by midnight ready for work on Tuesday morning :-): PHOTO. On Monday and Tuesday there were interviews for a new position in the international team, but we’re still waiting for someone suitable. On Wednesday Trenki and Oskar went to Poland and visited several businesses and institutions. There was some interest from a large international company and through it PROEBIZ could also get into Russia… we'll see soon. Jedloš has been communicating by email for a while with a client he had been addressing as Mr Gulnur Amirkhankyzy. When he called him, a lady picked up the phone and Honza asked to speak to Mr Amirkhankyzy. The lady laughed and said she was Gulnur Amirkhankyzy! Andrzej, being Andrzej, took my invitation to write something in Arabic literally, and sent me this: مالكولم يكتب في هذا الأسبوع تزحلق، وبحاجة إلى أي معلومات، ولأن النهاية أنا لا أعرف أنا أكتب هذه المعلومات ولكن باللغة العربية For those of you who can’t read Arabic, basically he’s saying that he’s got nothing to say… As you all know, Radek is relaxing at home because of “problems of mobility”, and just to prove it, here is a picture of his leg: PHOTO. As always, Jiří has had a busy week. On Monday there was the first meeting about the Slovak electronic identity card and how the software can authenticate a user via this card. In the afternoon he had sales training with Petr Kazik, a long-term friend of NAR, and in the evening TT’s birthday party. On Tuesday he had a morning coffee with our supplier about a phone number for The Polish and Croatian team, and then training for Danka O and Krista in using tablets (computer tablets, I guess…). In the afternoon there was a development meeting and in the evening squash with Osa, who was a bit better, so Jiří says. On Wednesday he had training in Apple products arranged by Lukas. In the evening there was the PROebiz update, and, happily, everything went smoothly. On Friday there was a small meeting about software v 4.0 with the boss. Then a relaxing weekend… On Wednesday morning Danka asked Adélka where she wanted to go on spring break. She said Africa. Danka gave her a second chance: She said Mallorca. Next time she’d rather not ask! Danka reports that Radek’s work is piling up on his desk, and he’ll have plenty to keep him busy when he appears at the office! On Wednesday evening the boss and Jana had their second vernissage of the month, this time at the Town Hall in Hranice. The exhibition will last until the end of March. Two other fantastic artists are also being exhibited there along with the Kaplans. It’s well worth seeing. In this photo there are prints on silk by Jana Dědochová: PHOTO. Finally, a big welcome to the firm to our nová Karolina, нobи Marina, nový Roman and the two noví Mireks. Malcolm
