It was great. Congratulations to all the successful graduates and thanks to all the lecturers for their precise preparation of topics full of trend inspiration. Based on the feedback, we will prepare next year's edition even more "to the flesh", especially by adding more interactive elements and adjusting the workshop "case studies" to involve everyone even more in the program. Success has many fathers and failure is an orphan, this is one of the slogans that was heard at the Little eBF, the preparation of the festival program that took place in Bořetice :). The responsibility for the dramaturgy and preparation of the eBF was taken by the PROCUREMENT BOARD. This is a group of selected specialists in the field of corporate purchasing, which contributes to the growth of standards for the digitization of the industry through BOARD workshops and open cooperation projects. The programme reflects all current topics that resonate across the world of procurement.

Even the entry into the new year and the toast associated with it were not very different from the last months. Just a big meeting on the internet. We are learning to live with the fact that we are PROEBIZ. It is still waiting that it will be possible to use it on Slovak materials. Our streams, which we named PROCUREMENT BOARD, somehow inadvertently change us. We started with them in November and there are almost twenty of them in January. We used the name from mini conferences that we organized before the Covid (Where are the times.)

How are you? Still the same, most of us work from home. And then we take turns. Meetings are still online, so we already know home offices of all our colleagues. The company-wide meeting and educational marathon known as Big Monday (but held on Tuesdays) has also moved online. There was also a Christmas get-together, but, let's face it - it's much nicer live. Management has completed meetings with customer and production teams on the 2021 plan. And in rhythm - two meetings a day.

Currenly, we have been promptly finishing all manuals, trying to avoid any mistakes in the process of changing the company name. Yes, on 1 December, we finally became PROEBIZ. /// November is traditionally devoted to eBF - festival and conference in one package. And this year - it was a tough row to hoe. In very limited time, we had to transfer everything online focusing on keeping the quality intact. We gave it a couple of shots and it worked out. We received your positive feedback and evaluation. A decision has finally been made. The Croatian centre will be established in Varaždin, and not in Zagreb or the previously planned Daruvar. Firstly, there is better parking there than in Zagreb (from where it's only an hour by car) and, secondly, our new colleague Josip lives there. It seems there will be a Polish address in Cieszyn, and this will be decided quickly. The sixteenth year of eBF for public and private sector buyers will be totally online on 4 and 5 November.

PROEBIZ has now become a procurement platform. For the sake of our network of partners, we have used the name PROEBIZ in marketing communications for many years rather than the company name (NAR marketing) because that is the name they associate with us. Now we are launching new solutions onto the market that digitalise other parts of the procurement environment, and these new solutions come with new names, we need to change things round. PROEBIZ will be the umbrella brand used for the entire platform of existing and emerging procurement solutions. The eAuction solution which has for the past fifteen years or so been known as PROEBIZ will from now on be called PROEBIZ TENDERBOX, or just TENDERBOX for short.

Discussions took place concerning what's new in public procurement and current trends brought about by the latest big amendment to the Public Procurement Act at an expert conference known as The Law in Practice 2019 which was held in Tatranská Lomnica under the auspices of APUeN (Association for Providers and Users of Digital Procurement Solutions).

The audience's interest was piqued mostly by the controversy surrounding the security of digital solutions, data and processes and responsibility for the authentication of candidates.

The Polish Public Procurement Office has announced that it is withdrawing from the contract for the design and delivery of software for the national e-Zamówenia eProcurement Platform.

Instead, for communications and submitting bids digitally institutions can continue to use the existing free state miniPortal system, or alternatively one of the available European or domestic commercial platforms.

Bratislava City Hall is going to use an innovative way of selecting their suppliers. Over the next four years economic operators providing services for winter and summer road maintenance and the upkeep of urban green areas will be awarded more than €40 million. The value of this contract has created a great buzz. This is the largest DPS ever announced in Slovakia, so it’s no wonder that councillors are stressing transparency, economic benefits and effectiveness throughout the process, and the very nature of a DPS will certainly satisfy these criteria.
